Information Security – ISO/IEC 27000 series
Know-how (technical & economic information) is the key success factor for a business. An active management of business-critical information is crucial. Typical company risks are interrupted business processes within an organization, lack of or non-reliable information integrity and confidentiality of information.
Information security is more than technical protection of an organisation's relevant data.
Regarding security issues persons are in the focus within an organisation. It is necessary to qualify personnel in handling security issues and to strengthen their awareness for activities relevant to information security.
Since March 2010 the Certification Body for Persons of TÜV SÜD Akademie GmbH has been developing an Qualification and Certification Programme for Information Security Management according to ISO/IEC 27000 series.
The Foundation Certificate in ISMS according to ISO/IEC 27001 is available in English and German (September 2010). It is recommended to attend a training course with a TÜV SÜD Akademie GmbH certified training provider although there are no specific exam requirements asked for.
