Innovative projects for efficient hydrogen use (12.04.2007)

  1. Hydrogen and fuel-cell technology play a key role in the advanced development of carbon-neutral energy. Between 16 and 20 April 2007, TÜV SÜD will inform visitors to the international flagship trade show Energy at Hannover Messe about the development of an innovative pipeline system to transport cryogenic liquid hydrogen as part of the "icefuel" project, and the certification of portable fuel-cell systems for mobile or decentralized applications (Hall 13, stand D67).

"Blue Registry" brings more transparency to VER projects (12.04.2007)
  1. From 16 to 20 April 2007, TÜV SÜD experts present a new emissions trading platform at the international flagship trade show Energy at Hannover Messe (Hall 13, stand D67). Starting in June 2007 the "Blue Registry" certification database allows management of climate-change projects which are carried out under a simplified procedure outside the Kyoto Protocol. It serves as a contact point for project owners and parties purchasing or trading with emission credits.

TÜV SÜD helps companies discover and tap energy saving potential and thus stay competitive. Certified Grid Control (12.04.2007)
  1. After spectacular power failures in the USA and Europe, power suppliers and network operators have faced increasing public criticism. The sensitivity to supply quality requirements has grown. To help network operators satisfy these requirements, TÜV SÜD and FGH put the entire grid management through its paces in a special certification procedure. From 16 to 20 April 2007, TÜV SÜD experts present Certified Grid Control at the international flagship trade show Energy at Hannover Messe (Hall 13, stand D67).

Hot Sleeves to stabilize pipelines (12.04.2007)
  1. TÜV SÜD has developed an innovative method for cost-effective pipeline rehabilitation. Hot Sleeves – thermally pre-stressed steel collars – are used to stabilize areas of reduced strength. At E.ON Ruhrgas AG, this method was applied for the first time to a high-pressure gas pipeline. At the international flagship trade show Energy at Hannover Messe between 16 and 20 April 2007 (Hall 13, stand D67), TÜV SÜD experts will provide information about all pipeline testing and rehabilitation methods.

HyWeb Gazette -- ten years of providing the latest news and information about hydrogen and fuel-cells (28.03.2007)
  1. For ten years, Ludwig-Bölkow-Systemtechnik GmbH has supplied hydrogen and fuel cell experts with the latest information via its HyWeb Internet platform. The HyWeb Gazette, the world’s first Internet Newsletter in this sector, went online on 24 March 1997. Its first article reported on the foundation of the German Hydrogen Association.

Long-term cooperation for global operations (26.03.2007)
  1. The technology group The Linde Group is to cooperate even more closely in future with TÜV SÜD AG. The two companies signed an outline agreement today, Monday, on strategic and operational cooperation for their global activities in the longer term. The agreement sets out among other things the fundamental premises for assistance to be provided on major projects and for the certification of new technologies.

TÜV SÜD's presence at the flagship international trade show Energy at Hannover Messe focuses on renewable energies, efficient energy management and innovative pipeline testing and rehabilitation methods. Between 16 and 20 April, 2007, TÜV SÜD experts will inform trade visitors about their entire service portfolio in the energy sector plus innovative products such as icefuel, Blue Registry, Certified Grid Control or Hot Sleeves (Hall 13, Stand D 67).

Integrated safety for buildings and efficient energy management are the key topics of TÜV SÜD's stand at the Facility Management trade exhibition to be held in Frankfurt am Main between 24 and 26 April 2007. In line with the technical service group's claim "Choose certainty. Add value.", its experts will inform professional visitors to the TÜV SÜD stand (stand C09, hall 4.2) about customized solutions packages building on comprehensive real-property know-how and covering the entire life cycle of a building.
