Cooperation in the management of pipe classes
TÜV SÜD Chemie Service GmbH and Drafz Consulting GmbH have entered a strategic partnership, the agreement for which was signed by Dr Hans-Nicolaus Rindfleisch and Achim Drafz. In the future, the two companies will offer innovative services for the professional management of pipe classes and individual components for all important industry segments in plant engineering.
Impartiality and data consistency are top priorities in the strategic partnership of TÜV SÜD Chemie Service and Drafz Consulting. From the creation of new data and the migration of existing data from IT and CAD systems, calculation and design and certification of components and pipe classes in accordance with Directive 97/23/EC to maintenance, administration and updating – companies receive end-to-end services and complete documentation from a single source. Using correctly designed and certified pipe classes assists industrial companies with the planning of new plants and systems and the maintenance and expansion of existing installations. By defining the technical delivery conditions (texts of orders and specifications), they ensure uniform standards of delivery – irrespective of the manufacturer.
Under the motto: "Innovative management of pipe classes made simple", the partnership of TÜV SÜD Chemie Service and Drafz Consulting was presented at a range of customer events throughout Germany. "Our pipe class events were a great success", says Hans-Nicolaus Rindfleisch, CEO of TÜV SÜD Chemie Service GmbH. The events offered specialist companies the opportunity of informing themselves about the new portfolio of solutions and services offered by the two companies. "The many questions asked by attendees and their lively discussions with our experts demonstrated that the subject met with a lot of interest", reports Achim Drafz, Managing Director of Drafz Consulting. "However, the events also revealed that almost all companies have tangible need for action as far as their existing data of catalogues, components and pipe classes is concerned.“
Particularly with respect to current changes in codes, regulations, ordinances and standards, companies in the plant-construction and systems-engineering industry need the substantiated, professional support provided by an expert partner. "This is exactly where our joint solution sets in", says Dr Rindfliesch. "We supply our clients with end-to-end solutions for their specific applications to apply on their own or in the form of an external service solution."
Seen against the backdrop of the acute shortage of skilled staff, the outsourcing of these services to external specialists with the required know-how and extensive industry experience promises improved productivity while reducing the workload of in-house human resources. "After all, the flexibility demanded of operators, planners and installation companies is steadily rising", emphasizes Achim Drafz. "Companies must also keep an eye on increasingly strict energy-efficiency requirements for plant components and the total cost of ownership, and comply with these parameters."
