TÜV SÜD at the IAA "Use our know-how. Shape your future."
TÜV SÜD has adopted the heading "Use our know-how. Shape your future." for its presence at the 2011 International Motor Show (IAA), held from 15 to 25 September in Frankfurt am Main. The company's stand A 19 in Hall 8 will focus on the future of car dealerships in a changing industry. TÜV SÜD will introduce a tailored portfolio of services and present the results of its representative study of current industry trends. Further topics will include safe charging for e-mobility; carbon reduction: powering green fleets in Europe; service quality: presentation of the Workshop Award, and Fleet Management Strategy Forum.
| The industry is booming - and the proof can be seen both in its sales figures and the number of registrations for IAA 2011. Over 900 exhibitors are expected, a hefty 20 per cent rise compared to the 2009 IAA. Structural change forms the backdrop to this success. Developments such as mergers, acquisitions and internationalization are currently leaving their mark on the auto industry. |
"For our customers in the grip of this structural change, we provide the opportunity to access our knowledge directly in the form of our comprehensive portfolio of services in fields including used-car strategy, fleet management and electromobility", says Bernhard Kerscher, CEO of TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH. For Bernhard Kerscher, "Use our know-how. Shape your future. TÜV SÜD - The Original' means that "Our presence at the IAA highlights our role as a reliable expert partner of the automotive industry and allows us to present ways in which car dealers, repair shops and mobility in general can master the challenges of the future."
To find out just where these challenges lie and what car drivers actually expect from dealerships and workshops, TÜV SÜD is producing a representative study especially for the IAA. "We will discuss the results of the study with industry representatives in Frankfurt", says Kerscher.
TÜV SÜD Auto Service, the largest mobility-related subsidiary of TÜV SÜD AG with annual sales around EUR 430 million, launched a campaign to drive ahead its services in the fields of leasing, fleet management, car valeting and detailing and used-car strategies, in which the company is establishing new services and partnerships. The merger of TÜV SÜD subsidiary FleetCompany with Fleet Logistics, for example, has created Europe's current largest fleet service provider, with 100,000 vehicles in its care. In June, TÜV SÜD Auto Service joined forces with Sixt to found the joint venture TÜV SÜD Car Registration & Services (CRS), specializing in management of complex registration procedures for vehicle fleets. And at the start of the year TÜV SÜD acquired the used-car specialists Christof Gerhard und Partner (CGP). Consulting in the field of used-car strategies is a cornerstone of TÜV SÜD's operations as a full-scale service provider for car dealerships and workshops, which also span international business relations. "Our fleet management services and used-car strategies will reinforce our position as a one-stop service provider – the area of operations in which we expect to see the greatest dynamism in the near future", confirmed Kerscher.
Press conference on 14 September on the theme of charging safety for electric-drive vehicles
A further key topic of TÜV SÜD's IAA presence is electromobility, in which the Munich-based testing and certification service provider has carved out an internationally leading role in all safety-related issues. At a press conference on 14 September at the IAA, Member of the TÜV SÜD Board Horst Schneider will present the results of a project on the topic of "Safety in Wired and Wireless Charging of E-Vehicles" conducted with energy supplier E.ON.
E-mobility, international fleet management, used-car strategy, new industry statistics, service quality: TÜV SÜD's presence at IAA 2011 is stronger than ever before, presenting concentrated expertise and a full range of services for dealerships and repair workshops.
The TÜV SÜD experts at Stand A19, Hall 8,will naturally also answer any questions on more traditional TÜV SÜD services such as roadworthiness and exhaust inspections, driving tests and damage and value appraisals.
