TÜV SÜD Footwear Mark (PPP 25007)

Subject:

The tests to get the certification and the shown certification mark can be done for all footwear types ranging from plastic sandals to leather boots.

Basis:

The certification mark is awarded within the framework of voluntary testing and certification.
The testing parameters focus on the chemical testing for hazardous substances and on the rubbing fastness of the inner lining.

  1. Production monitored: The use of the TÜV SÜD Footwear Mark is subjected to continual factory inspections (annual) and random product sampling from the production line for spot testing.
  2. Tested for hazardous substances (RSL, SVHC):  The shoes have to go through chemical testing for different hazardous substances. These substances are defined by the REACH regulation as well as by most of the substances commonly found on the RSL (Restricted Substancy List) of major retailers.
  3. Linning colourfast:The inner lining is tested for the fastness to rubbing.
