Application of IEC 60601-1:2005

The transition period for the 3rd edition of IEC 60601-1:2005 will expire on 1 June 2012. On this date, the standard for "Medical electrical equipment - Part 1: General requirements for basic safety and essential performance" will come into full effect. In a free webinar "Application of IEC 60601-1:2005" TÜV SÜD provides information for manufacturers concerning the conditions their medical devices must meet in the future in order to be placed on the market.

Live on the Web on Wednesday, 13 July 2011, 10 to 12 a.m., TÜV SÜD expert Martin Schneeberg will talk about the new standard, the changes from the older version and how these changes will affect manufacturers. A central theme will be how to implement these changes into production processes in time. After his talk, webinar participants will have the opportunity to ask individual questions via e-mail or live chat.
