Governance Board

The FSCP is governed by a board whose objective is to guarantee the quality of the FSCP, its course providers, their courses and exams, and the certification of people. The members of the governance board have a common interested in establishing a program that is accepted by industry. The board consists of the certification body TÜV SÜD, one representative each course provider and end-users.

The governance board assures:

• That in each industry a demonstrable standard exist concerning the level of knowledge a person needs to have in the field of functional safety for that industry. The required knowledge is expressed in a curriculum;
• That the trainings and exams reflect the required knowledge of the applicable curriculum;
• That the professionals’ applications to be certified meet the acceptance criteria of the applicable industry and field.
