First certificate for energy-efficient lifts awarded

Munich/Wiedenzhausen (May 2009). So far, the energy efficiency classes A to G have primarily been used for refrigerators and washing machines. Now TÜV SÜD Industrie Service has issued the first energy-efficient lift certificate as per VDI Guideline 4707. The service provider certified the energy efficiency of a total of four visitors' and test lifts at corporate headquarters of WITTUR Group.

Gas supplier certified as carbon neutral

Bavaria (May 2009). Sustainable processes and operations are playing an increasingly important role in companies' economic success. TÜV SÜD Industrie Service recently confirmed that gas supplier Erdgas Schwaben has succeeded in achieving a 'zero carbon footprint'. This means that an organisation does not cause more CO2 emissions than it cuts or saves in its operations or elsewhere.

Snow groomers certified as per new Machinery Directive

Sterzing/Italy (January 2009). The new Machinery Directive will come into effect on
29 December 2009, bringing in its wake stricter requirements for risk assessment and documentation. TÜV SÜD Industrie Service has now tested and certified all groomer models of PRINOTH AG, a globally leading manufacturer of slope and snow groomers.
