Registrant
Lead registrant as per Art. 11 (1.2) REACH
The joint submission of data by multiple registrants plays an important role in the REACH regulation. Article 11 (1.2) of the REACH regulation enables the participants in a SIEF to appoint a lead registrant. This lead registrant then prepares the technical dossier and includes the information jointly submitted by multiple registrants.
The basic idea is to reduce the costs incurred by the individual registrants and to avoid animal experiments.
If appointed as your third-party representative or only representative, TÜV SÜD can also fulfil the role of lead registrant in the SIEF.
Registrant as per Art. 11 (1.3) REACH
Article 11 (1.3) REACH governs the information to be submitted separately by each registrant.
As third-party representative or only representative, TÜV SÜD takes over responsibility for submission of the technical dossier in line with Article 11 (1.3) REACH.
Registrant as per Art. 11 (3) REACH
Separate technical dossier (“opt-out“)
Under certain conditions, a registrant may submit a separate technical dossier as per Art. 11 (3) REACH to ECHA.
